It’s a red letter day in Virginia Library Association history: today, May 7, 2011, we submitted the official petition to form VLA NMRT as a Virginia Library Association Forum!
We are thrilled to let you all know we actually received 36 signatures for our petition–nearly double the 20 signatures that the petition needed. The suggestions that you all gave us are fabulous, and we can’t wait to get started implementing these exciting ideas.
As the last update indicated, the petition is now in the hands of the VLA Executive Board. We will let you all know as soon as we hear back from the Executive Board. Until then, continue to pass along information about VLA NMRT to friends and colleagues. We’ve converted our petition into an Interest Form to which you can point friends and colleagues. If you signed the petition, no need to fill out the interest form as well–we’ve got your information, and you’ll be hearing from us soon!
