Candidate: Tracy M. Hall
Running for: VLA NMRT Conference Director
Current Job Title: Instructional Services Librarian, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, June 2012 to present

Statement: Library annual conferences are vital opportunities for those in our field to network, educate, learn, share and rejuvenate. My mission as Conference Director for VLA NMRT will work to maintain the high caliber of events that both VLA Annual and VLA Paraprofessional Forum Conference have come to expect, in addition, to growing and enhancing the particular needs of new members getting started on their library journey. In this position I would work alongside my committee colleagues to promote NMRT conference programs that speak to leadership skills, network and mentoring opportunities, enhancement of skill sets, with an overall focus to embrace the vast needs of new Virginia Library Association members.
My library committee experience includes one year as ACRL-LA (Louisiana) Secretary and LLA NMRT

new member myself in VLA I would be honored to learn, grow and contribute back to our state, our
association and the library field as Conference Director for VLA NMRT.
